Andreas Evers, PhD, is Scientific Director in Antibody Discovery & Protein Engineering, Global Research & Development, Discovery Technologies at EMD Serono. Since October 2020, he has focused on computer-aided assessment and optimization of new biological entities. He obtained his PhD in Computational Chemistry with Professor Gerhard Klebe at Philipps University of Marburg in 2000. Before joining EMD Serono, he worked at Sanofi from 2003, initially in computer-aided drug design for small-molecule projects and later on therapeutic peptides and proteins. His research activities include the implementation and application of in silico and AI approaches to design molecules with desired target activity and developability properties.
