Angele Maki serves as Chief Business Officer of Ability Biotherapeutics, where she works alongside the leadership team and board to shape the company's strategy, financing, partnerships, and external positioning as it advances antibody therapeutics for immunology and inflammation.

Her role spans the full spectrum of company building, from fundraising and investor engagement to corporate strategy, business development, strategic partnerships, and corporate communications. Whether engaging investors, evaluating partnering opportunities, or helping define long-term corporate strategy, her focus is on creating enduring enterprise value around transformative science.

Over the past two decades, she has worked across venture-backed biotechnology companies and global pharmaceutical organizations, leading transactions spanning platform technologies through clinical-stage assets. Her experience includes licensing, strategic collaborations, corporate development, venture investing, and portfolio strategy, giving her a broad perspective on how innovative science becomes successful companies.

Before joining Ability, she held leadership roles across the life sciences industry, including at Eli Lilly, where she contributed to strategic investments through the company's corporate venture capital function. Throughout her career, she has worked with scientists, entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders to help translate breakthrough discoveries into meaningful therapies for patients.

She also contributes to the broader biotechnology ecosystem through board service and mentoring founders and entrepreneurs navigating company formation, fundraising, and strategic growth.
