David Aviezer has 25 years of experience in biotechnology executive management, advancing biopharmaceutical drugs focused on the rare disease field, from early-stage research through their approval by FDA. He was CEO of Protalix Biotherapeutics for 12 years and a visiting scientist at Wyeth-Pfizer. He has experience in creating strategic partnerships and research agreements and has raised significant capital on Wall Street. David is an Associate Professor, adjunct, Faculty of Life Sciences, Bar-Ilan University.
Currently David serves as CEO of Orvida Pharma, a biotechnology company focused on rare genetic skin disorders. He holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel and an M.B.A. from Bar-Ilan University.
