Emily Ripka currently serves as the VP of Product & Engineering at Verge Labs, a new frontier bio AI company spun-out from Verge Genomics. She is driving development of vBx-1.0, a foundation model that resolves patient heterogeneity in neurology; shown to cut Parkinson's trial enrollment by 43% and ALS trial dropout by 34%. She recruited Verge Lab's founding team and set the strategy that turned a decade of proprietary brain tissue data into a licensable platform. Previously she scaled PostEra's product and engineering org from a seed-stage company to a productive AI biotech, where she helped win and deliver a multi-million-dollar Pfizer collaboration, and directed the data platform for the NIH's ASAP antiviral center. She holds a PhD in chemistry from Syracuse University with her expertise in novel spectroscopy method development.
