Hilary is a qualified lawyer in England & Wales of over 25 years and has worked within the biopharmaceutical industry since 2003.

Hilary specialises in regulatory law and the commercialisation of biopharmaceutical products. Her role as VP Legal at BioNTech involved advising all areas of the business including R&D and business development at a global level and included AI governance. Her prior in-house roles were at Kite / Gilead, where in addition to international regulatory law she led legal support for Kite’s cell therapy business for the EUCAN region for the successful launch of two CAR-T products, and at Pfizer where she was a Senior Corporate Counsel within the Regulatory Law team. Hilary has also spent time in private practice at Bristows LLP in London. Hilary studied for her Law LLB at the University of Southampton and attended Nottingham Law School.

Hilary’s regulatory and commercial law practice covers a wide range of areas including regulatory strategies and exclusivities; orphan products; paediatric requirements; advanced therapies including CAR-T products and personalised medicine; pharmacovigilance; manufacturing, supply and tech ops; GXP compliance and inspection support; real-world evidence; data privacy; business conduct / ABAC; IVDs and medical devices; AI and software; and regulatory policy.
