Dr. Jongsup Baek is the Founder and CEO of BeNature BioLab (BNBL) and an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutics at Kangwon National University, Republic of Korea. He was a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (2015–2018), where he worked on advanced drug delivery and controlled release systems. In 2020 he spun BNBL out of Kangwon National University to commercialize HME-DDS™, a solvent-free hot-melt extrusion platform for solubility and bioavailability enhancement of poorly soluble actives. Under his leadership BNBL has built a GMP/HACCP-certified continuous manufacturing site, secured 17+ granted patents, and established co-development programs with pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetic partners in Korea, Southeast Asia and the United States. He publishes over 20 SCI-indexed papers annually with more than 1,000 citations, and serves as principal investigator on national deep-tech drug delivery programs including pharmaceutical 3D printing.
