Junsang Yoo, PhD, is the founder, CEO, and head of R&D at Stand Up Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing in vivo gene therapies for degenerative disease (www.stutps.com). He founded the company in 2021 around two proprietary platforms, Cell Resetting Technology (CRT) and Direct Lineage Reprogramming (DLR). He currently leads the company's programs from ongoing validation of the cell resetting platform through to the Phase 1/2a trial of its lead asset, STUP-001, in chronic spinal cord injury (NCT06922890). In addition, as principal investigator, he has secured over USD 10 million in competitively awarded non-dilutive national grants since 2021, and the underlying technology is protected by patents filed or granted in Korea, the US, Europe, Japan, and China.
