Dr. Chen Chen (Michael) currently serves as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Darwin Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

Before joining Darwin Biotech, Dr. Chen served as CBO at Shaanxi Micot Pharmaceutical Technology, Vice President of BD at Jiangsu Simcere Pharmaceutical Group, Vice President of Global BD at Akeso Biopharma, Head of External Innovation for Merck KGaA in the Asia-Pacific region.

Before returning to China, Dr. Chen obtained a PhD in Biochemistry from Imperial College London, and a Master's degree in Cancer Immunotherapy from the University of Nottingham in the UK. He conducted postdoctoral research at University College London, and subsequently joined Spirogen Ltd., a UK biotechnology company, where he led the antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) research projects, of which acquired by MedImmune, a global biopharmaceutical company under the AstraZeneca Group.
