As the CBO at EMICRO Biomedicine, responsible for corporate business strategy and transactions, Zhen Pang brings in over 25 years of drug discovery and business development experience. This includes 15 years of US-based industry experience at Merck & Co., Roche, Sanofi and CrownBio covering innovative drug R&D, external project due diligence and partnership; plus 10 years of cross-border business development tenure in China-based biotech companies. At I-Mab Biopharma as Senior Director, Global BD, Zhen played a major role in closing a landmark deal with $200 million upfront, managing alliance partnerships and supporting the company's IPO. Prior senior roles include Executive President at DSciLab, VP & Head of Business Development at Abogen, Reistone and Hope Medicine. Zhen has broad expertise across multiple therapeutic areas (immuno-inflammation, cardio-metabolism, oncology, CNS, rare diseases) and drug modalities (small molecule, peptide, protein and nucleic acid), with 20+ SCI papers. His education includes a BSc Virology and Molecular Biology (Wuhan University), MSc Microbiology (Chinese Academy of Sciences), and PhD Anatomy & Neurobiology (University of Kentucky); Postdoc, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Merck Research Laboratories.
