Jorge Rave

VP & Head of the Americas at Export Development Canada

Jorge A. Rave is Vice-President and Head for the Americas at Export Development Canada (EDC), based in Mexico City. With nearly 25 years of experience in international business, trade, finance, and economic development, he leads EDC’s engagement across the US, Latin America & the Caribbean, and has held progressively senior leadership roles since joining the organization in 2008.

A recognized speaker and author on international trade and global commerce, Jorge has contributed to academic research, humanitarian programs, and economic development initiatives across Latin America, Europe, and Canada. He holds degrees from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, the Université du Québec à Montréal, and the University of Oxford.

Fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese, Jorge is a strong advocate for inclusion, diversity, and equity, an active mentor, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico.
