Mr. Halter is the Principal Health Physicist for ENTACT LLC. He began his career in 1996 with research in plutonium biochemistry and metabolic modeling of transuranic nuclides in support of a DOE research program administered through Texas A&M University (TAMU). Mr. Halter went on to work as a Health Physicist for Foxfire Scientific Inc., performing duties as a project manager for various radiological remediation, consultation and litigation projects including former metals mines and processing facilities, and Oil and Gas facilities both in the USA and abroad. From there, he became the Radiological Division director for USA Environment in 2010, who was later acquired by ENTACT LLC in 2022. Mr. Halter has managed site closures for copper and uranium open pit mines, rare earth mines and processing facilities, and major facility turnarounds for Oil, Gas and Petrochemical clients. Currently he is primarily working on mine closures in New Mexico under their Abandoned Uranium Mine Initiative program.
