Jacques Tohme has 22 years of investment and transaction experience principally focused on energy and natural resources. He is Founder and Managing Partner of the Samos Energy Group, a private equity platform to acquire and invest in traditional energy assets globally. He is also sponsor, Chairman and CEO of Samos Energy Acquisition Corp (NYSE: SAMO) which IPO’’d in 2026 raising $230 million. Samos has acquired energy assets from Blackrock and Brookfield.

Separately, he has led acquisitions into the LNG and critical minerals space.

Jacques co-founded Tailwind Energy in London which later merged into Serica Energy plc (LSE: SQZ) which combined is the UK’s 3rd largest independent, listed, upstream energy producer. Prior to this, Tailwind transacted with ExxonMobil, Shell, EOG, ENI, BP and Oaktree, while having completed over $1bn in financings. Tailwind’s strategic partner was Mercuria Energy Trading.

Prior to that, Jacques held several buy-side and investment banking roles in New York. Jacques brings energy investing expertise, as well as a strong network of energy policymakers in the US. He has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University.
