Dr. Jun Yuan is Managing Director, Head of Innovation and AI Centre of Excellence within Group Risk Management at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Rotman School of Management and as a Senior Fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto. Dr. Yuan holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.

At RBC, Dr. Yuan leads AI innovation and adoption across Group Risk Management. Previously, he led the development, implementation, and oversight of risk models spanning market risk, counterparty credit risk, CCAR stress testing, and climate risk. He is recognized as a pioneer in applying artificial intelligence to financial innovation and risk management in the banking industry.

As an Adjunct Professor at Rotman School of Management, he collaborates with leading finance faculty members on artificial intelligence research and teaches financial risk management and machine learning to students and senior business executives around the globe.
