Rosamund de Sybel is the founder of Lantern Associates, an independent geopolitical and geoeconomic advisory firm working with boards, executives and investors to assess how shifts in the global political and economic landscape affect business, investment and risk management. Her work translates these developments into practical implications for organisations, including policy and regulatory change, market access, supply-chain disruption and broader strategic risk.

She specialises in the intersection of geopolitics, national security and global finance, with particular expertise in economic statecraft, sanctions, energy security, and trade and investment restrictions, and their implications for corporates and financial institutions.

Rosamund was formerly Head of the Geopolitics and Geoeconomics Advisory Practice at a leading international defence and security focused think tank. Prior to this, she was Head of Geopolitical Risk, Financial Crime Compliance at a unit of the world's largest bank by assets. Earlier in her career, she was a Director at a US-headquartered due diligence and investigations firm, and Editor and Economist for the Middle East and Africa at a global research firm. She also edited a Middle East-focused business and economics journal and, in 2011, helped launch the think tank's geoeconomics research programme in Bahrain. She is a regular contributor to policy forums and industry conferences on geopolitical and economic security risk.
