Matthieu Ducorroy is Head of the Equity & Funds Division at the European Investment Bank (EIB). In this role, he oversees EIB investments in private equity, venture capital, infrastructure and impact funds across emerging markets, and leads the team responsible for strategic fund initiatives outside the EU, including vehicles capitalized by third-party investors. Before assuming this position in 2025, Matthieu headed the Private Equity Unit from 2021, helping to expand EIB support for venture capital ecosystems in Africa, notably through the Boost Africa initiative. He joined the EIB in 2016 after serving as an Investment Manager at the European Investment Fund (EIF), where he focused on commitments to SME funds across the EU. Earlier in his career, Matthieu worked for a private-sector fund-of-funds investing in private equity funds across Europe and North America, and began his career as an M&A analyst at UBS Investment Bank. Matthieu graduated from École des Ponts (Paris), holds an MBA from ESSEC Business School, and earned a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Paris-Nanterre.
