Octavian Popescu is the co-founder and CEO of ROYC Group, a fintech company delivering an award-winning platform solution for private markets. ROYC serves global fund managers, wealth and asset managers across EMEA and APAC from its two main hubs in London and Stockholm.

Before ROYC, Octavian spent 20 years as a private equity investor in New York and London, with more than a decade of it at Blackstone, where he joined the Tactical Opportunities business at its inception. As a Managing Director at Blackstone, Octavian was responsible for investing across fintech, payments, insurance and enterprise software sectors.

Today, ROYC is active with c.100 clients across EMEA & APAC, including Ardian, Vista Equity Partners, Nordic Capital and I Squared Capital, as well as numerous European banks and wealth institutions active in the private markets. ROYC powers its clients though its digital infrastructure, structuring and operations capabilities, to enable them to launch, raise and manage their products in a unified, data-centric and AI native white-label operating system. ROYC integrates with existing fund service providers or support the launch of new products, whilst replacing manual processes, reducing operating costs and delivering a fully digital experience.
