Victoria Mesquita is a structured finance and restructuring lawyer with over two decades of experience, 18 of them in the Middle East. She advises private credit funds, arrangers, lenders and family offices on asset-backed finance, securitisations, structured notes, private placements and distressed debt, with a particular specialism in structuring these as Shari'a-compliant investments. Victoria has acted for the arrangers on several first-of-a-kind transactions, including the Pure Harvest sukuk ("Ground-breaking Deal of the Year"), the Moove whole business securitisation ("Islamic Structured Finance Deal of the Year") and the first RNPL securitisation for Keyper ("Private Credit Deal of the Year") at the Bonds, Loans & Sukuk Awards. She also guides borrowers and creditors through debt restructurings, insolvency proceedings and distressed asset transactions.
