Jon Ferguson is a Founding Partner of AshGrove Capital, where he is jointly responsible for the firm’s investment activities across Europe and plays a central role in shaping AshGrove’s strategy. Mr. Ferguson oversees all aspects of deal origination, underwriting, and portfolio management. He also represents AshGrove on portfolio company boards and engages closely with the firm’s institutional investor base.
Prior to AshGrove, Jon was at Goldman Sachs from 2014 where he started a specialty lending business within the Special Situations Group and from 2019, served on the Global Specialty Lending Group Investment Committee.
In 2007, Jon joined the founding team of Ares Capital Europe, the firm’s first direct lending business established in Europe. Jon began his career at Barclays Bank Plc in 2003 within the mid-market leveraged finance team.
Jon has a BA in Politics & Philosophy from Durham University
