Benjamin Holthus acts as a private markets allocator for Montgomery County Investment Boards, managing the full institutional investment process from sourcing to legal negotiations for Private Real Asset, Private Equity, and Private Credit commitments. Additionally, he sits on the IC as a voting member and is responsible for all asset allocation decisions. He has designed and implemented a co-investment process for private infrastructure funds and is responsible for managing that portfolio as well. Prior to joining Montgomery County, he served as a generalist allocator for AARP after completing his MBA at the College of William & Mary. He spent the early part of his career with the Pavilion Alternatives Group, which was ultimately bought by Mercer. At Pavilion/Mercer, he worked on behalf of multiple large institutional investors such as Maryland State Retirement and Pension, Church Commissioners of England and multiple others. He received his undergraduate degree from George Mason University.
