Leo Putera Rinaldy has served as Chief Economist of PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI) since June 2023. He has more than 15 years of experience in macroeconomic research. Before joining BNI, he was Chief Economist at Mandiri Sekuritas from 2011 to 2023. Earlier in his career he was an Economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Jakarta Office from 2009 to 2011, and at OCBC NISP from 2007 to 2009.

He was named Best Economist for Indonesia in the AsiaMoney Brokers Poll in 2016 and in every year from 2018 to 2022. The Asset also ranked him among the top four individuals in research on Asian local currency bonds from 2017 to 2021. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Indonesia.
