Luca Tonello is a senior finance and capital-markets executive with over 25 years of international experience across structured and project finance, corporate finance, advisory, and energy and infrastructure, with roles in London, Tokyo and Singapore – including 18 years at SMBC. As Deputy Head of SMBC's Asia Structured Debt Vertical, he co-leads a regional platform spanning infrastructure, real estate, leveraged finance, private credit, securitisation, fund finance and capital markets. He previously led SMBC's award-winning Asia Pacific energy and infrastructure finance franchise, and serves on the boards of Clifford Capital Holdings and ASEEM Infrastructure Finance. Luca holds degrees from London Business School and Politecnico di Torino.
